Shopping in Dublin
There are two main shopping areas in Dublin, one north of the river and one on the south side. The north side shopping district focuses around Henry Street where most of the department stores are found. The one exception is the famous Clery's that can be found on O'Connell Street. Nearby Henry Street is the outdoor fruit and vegetable market and the Ilac Shopping Mall. Many of the department stores have their counterparts in the south side shopping area concentrated around the more upper class shopping street called Grafton Street. Here is the famous Brown Thomas department store and the nearby Powers court shopping complex set in beautiful Georgian buildings or the glass house styled St Stephen's Green at the top of Grafton Street.
